I understand that there are different types of romanizing Korean letters (한굴 'han.gul'), but I'm going to romanize it according to the way I use it, which is the Revised Romanization of Korean authorized by the Korean Government.
Some basic rules I follow when romanizing Korean letters 한굴 'han.gul':
1. Words are romanized according to sound rather than to Korean spelling
2. When necessary, a dot (.) is used to mark the syllable boundary to clear up the pronounciation

Reading Romanized Korean:
Now, if you're Indonesian, this would be extremely easy for you, because Indonesian's pronunciations are exactly the same as how the romanizations are supposed to sound. But since I consider that most of you aren't, these are the guides:
Vowels:
eo, eu, ae and oe are single vowels in romanized Korean as shown below. Therefore, please pay special attention to the romanization to not read them as two different vowels. I also find that people are confused with u and read it as 'you'. It's not! Some common vowels that might confuse you are...
a 아 ah, father (but shorter)
eo 어 bird, serve
o 오 ball, pore (but shorter)
u 우 shoe, school (but shorter)
eu 으 broken, golden
i 이 bee, sheep (but shorter)
ae 애 apple, bad
e 에 bed, egg
oe 외 wet, welcome
Consonants:
I don't think that people will have much trouble with this one. But just to clear things up, I'll post it up anyway...
kk ㄲ ski, sky (k after s)
tt ㄸ steak, sting (t after s)
pp ㅃ speak, spy (p after s)
ss ㅆ sea, sir (s before a vowel)
jj ㅉ bridge, midget (similar to a tutting sound in an exhaling way)
Anyways, since you're learning from songs, you might as well listen to the song while reading the guide. That's what guides are for, right? ;)
My recommendation is for you to memorize reading the Korean letters (한굴 'han.gul'). You're going to be learning the language, so shouldn't you be learning how to read it, too?
Oh, and for some of you who are enemies of romanization, meaning you don't want to see guides with romanizations because it's too confusing or you want to practice reading 한굴 'han.gul' "Korean letters", I'll create two versions of the guides from now on =)

Okay, I'm going to explain how this site (blog) works..
This site is mainly for people who want to learn Korean..
But I'm introducing on how to learn Korean in a different way..
The question is, how?
Look, I know most of you guys out there who want to learn Korean are K-Pop lovers, so I found a way to learn Korean vocab... By learning them from the lyrics!!
I found that this way is quite effective in adding your vocab, because:
1. It's from a song that you listen to over and over, so it sticks to your brain more easily
2. If the word was used in a song, then it means the word is commonly used, and so, the words that you learn are more useful
3. You can learn the spelling from the words, too ^^
So, I'm going to grab some lyrics (Hangul, Romanization, Translation) from the other sites (Don't worry, I won't forget to credit ^^), and I'm going to put in the vocabulary list right next to it. Simple, right?
Now, I'm not just going to put in all of the K-Pop songs, but rather, the ones that I like, and the ones that are popular..
Although I like FT Island, Wonder Girls, 2NE1, Big Bang, and 2PM (PLUS Jaebeom oppa!!), I'm going to choose the stars from the number one entertainment company in Korea, SM Entertainment.
Also, SM has a lot of stars, so I'm going to choose the ones that are at peak right now, which are TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee, SNSD, f(x), and songs that the whole SM Town sing together.
